Karu Rannamaja is a compact two-storey log house. Downstairs has double sofa bed, kitchen, bathroom and wood sauna; upstairs, three singles can become two singles plus one double. It is a woodland family base, not a party villa.

High pines, bilberries and lingonberries surround the house near the Tallinn–Ikla road. Tahkuranna bathing beach is about 800 m; Jõulumäe, Tolkuse and Lottemaa are short drives.
